Monica Elena's intense and expressive paintings show the way she demonstrates her deepest feelings. Trained in Argentina and the US. Her art is in museums and private and public collections in South America and the United States. She has exhibited in numerous solo art shows and hundreds of collective exhibitions in her homeland Argentina and the US where she has resided for over thirty years.

Las pinturas intensas y expresivas de Mónica Elena muestran la manera en la que ella demuestra sus sentimientos más profundos. Formada en la Argentina y US, su arte se encuentra en museos y colecciones privadas y públicas en América del Sur y Estados Unidos. Ha expuesto en numerosas exposiciones de arte personales y cientos de exposiciones colectivas en su tierra natal Argentina y US, donde ha residido durante más de treinta años.

 What are the major themes you pursue in your work?

-"The major theme in my work is the vital energy of life that exists everywhere and in everything on this planet. Everything is energy and everything radiates this amazing energy: humans, animals, plants, rocks, and the sea. Everything is connected and exchanging information, moment by moment. I'm particularly interested in that evolutionary interaction. I like to think that I'm in the middle of the focal point between the object and its environment and thus they refract into my work without judgment from my part.

The subject of my art comes from my deep love for mother earth, nature and colors, and the harmony and peace that they offer to me. Whether I paint a galaxy, a flower or a woman, in all these themes is reflected the way I see this wonderful vital energy by which we all are unified.

I like to express the absence of limits on each subject matter because I believe we are not delineated as it seems, everything is fluid with everything. My works also show my intention to exalt the best, the positive, the poetic in each of the subjects; the colors that I use contain the mystery of the feelings at that moment.

Regardless of the themes, my only objective is to enjoy the process of my own expression; I become a little kid if you will, playing, having so much fun! Some times I burst into tears of joy.  While I am painting there is only my surroundings and I in a soft dance of color, movement and breathing. At that moment I am free of all academic ties and I experience a true sense of being alive and free."

¿Cuáles son los principales temas que busca en su trabajo? 

- "El tema principal en mi trabajo es la energía vital de la vida que existe en todas partes y en todo en este planeta. Todo es energía y todo irradia esta increíble energía: humanos, animales, plantas, rocas y el mar. Todo está conectado e intercambiando información, momento a momento. Estoy particularmente interesada en esa interacción evolutiva. Me gusta pensar que estoy en el medio del punto focal entre el objeto y su entorno y, por lo tanto, se refractan en mi trabajo sin juicio de mi parte.

El tema de mi arte proviene de mi profundo amor por la madre tierra, la naturaleza y los colores, y la armonía y la paz que me ofrecen. Ya sea que pinto una galaxia, una flor o una mujer, en todos estos temas se refleja la forma en que veo esta maravillosa energía vital por la cual todos estamos unidos.

Me gusta expresar la ausencia de límites en cada tema porque creo que no estamos delineados como parece, todo es fluido con todo. Mis obras también muestran mi intención de exaltar lo mejor, lo positivo, lo poético en cada uno de los temas; Los colores que uso contienen el misterio de los sentimientos en ese momento.

Independientemente de los temas, mi único objetivo es disfrutar el proceso de mi propia expresión; ¡Me convierto en una niña, jugando, divirtiéndose mucho! Algunas veces me eché a llorar de alegría. Mientras pinto, solo tengo mi entorno y yo en una suave danza de color, movimiento y respiración. En ese momento estoy libre de todos los lazos académicos y experimento una verdadera sensación de estar viva, libre ".
